Privacy policy

Last updated October 9, 2026. Giftward is a Shopify app operated by Blackout Media, a company established in Brazil (“we”). This policy says what the app collects from a store that installs it, why, and how long it is kept.

What we collect

• Store details: the store’s myshopify domain, its time zone, and the access token Shopify issues at install.
• Products and stock: the gift variants you choose to guard (title, SKU, image link, inventory item), their stock per location and its changes.
• Discounts: the automatic discounts you link to a gift (id, title, status).
• Settings: the Slack incoming webhook URL you enter (stored encrypted), the digest hour and the time zone.
• The action log: each alert and discount action, with the stock at that moment, and the name of the staff member who undid an action, when Shopify provides it.
• Shopify Flow: whether the store uses the app’s Flow trigger.

Giftward does not access or store customer data or orders.

Why

Only to run the app: to watch gift stock, send the alerts and digest you ask for, turn the discounts you link on and off, and show you what happened.

Who receives it

Alerts go to the Slack webhook you set. The app runs on Cloudflare and stores data in a Neon Postgres database in the United States. We do not sell or share data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Stock changes are kept 48 hours. When you uninstall, the app loses access to your store at once, and everything above is deleted 48 hours later, when Shopify sends its shop data deletion request.
